What conditions can chiropractic help?
The modern practice of chiropractic is mainly concerned with 'mechanical' disorders, such as
back pain, (both acute and chronic), neck pain, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, hip or knee pain. Chiropractic
can also help with headaches resulting from neck problems or migraine, and the general relief of tension in the
muscles, cramp, muscle spasm, etc.

| The daily life of most people today is as physically stressful as ever. We may no longer be as active as
we once were - working the fields etc - but we still impose stresses that the body has problems coping with.
Activities such as sitting stationary for long periods, whether at work, in the car, or in front of the TV, can
cause significant problems. Fortunately chiropractic care is very effective at helping to deal with this type of
problem. However, due to its influence on the nervous system, the effects of chiropractic treatment are potentially
very wide ranging. Patients have also reported positive results for conditions including osteo-arthritis and migraine.
Because chiropractic is a gentle form of treatment with many modes of application, it is suitable for most
people, from babies and young children, through adults (including when pregnant) to the elderly.
If, after taking a medical history and a full examination, I believe that your condition is not suitable for
chiropractic care, or would benefit from other professional intervention, I will advise you of this and make any
appropriate referrals.
